With the recent stocking of trout this week there were plenty of happy anglers catching trout. They were biting on corn, rainbow and garlic PowerBait. Stripers are biting on nightcrawlers. The Bluegill bite has started to pick up, they are also biting on nightcrawlers. Some Cats have also been caught using chicken livers.
The next stocking of trout will be on March 9, 2012.

A good week of trout action at Lake Skinner
Lake SkinnerIt's been another nice week at Lake Skinner, weather in the mid-70's, nice and sunny and no wind. Stripers and Trout are in between Ramp 1 and Ramp 2 they are reacting well to chicken livers and swimbaits. Corn, chartreuse, rainbow PowerBait and trout mallows are still the best for luring trout.
