Mark Larson called in to let us give us this update, "I just wanted you to give you a heads up on what is going on here. We have a very nice spread of Yellowtail in La Jolla. We have a 5 to 6 mile spread of fish here. The New Seaforth came in this morning and she had 3 fish up to 35 lbs. They hooked 8 fish, got 3. The San Diego is out there. I just got off the satelitte phone talking to Ryan Bostian, he has 4 fish on board. These fish are up and willing to bite a little bit. Derek Southern one of our deck hands went up to La Jolla he got a 40 minute shot, up to La Jolla and back and he had 2 nice Yellowtail, both of them were like in the 25 lb. grade.
"Lot of fish in La Jolla. Let's hope they stay there, they keep biting. They stayed there through this last winter storm, so I don't think they are going any where at this point. Good fishing, nice grade of fish. Make sure to bring a surface jig. Surface lures and yoyo's, we are catching them on both. Make sure your lines are fresh, your drags work. Dust off the rods, come on out guys."
