The Largemouth fishing is getting better & better at Castaic

Upper lake WATER TEMP: Mid 50's
Lower Lagoon WATER TEMP: Low 50's
Next Trout Stock: The Department of Fish and Game will be stocking Upper Castaic Lake the week of Feb 12th 2012!
The largemouth fishing is still getting better and better. Plastics are still the best baits, drop shotting a Robo worm in 30 feet or so is the best way to snag a largies off the points. In the coves night crawlers are working very well in the shallows for small largies and in deeper water waters for cat fish. Striper action is still very limited but ice jigs are still randomly bringing in a few every few days for the anglers who find that lucky spot. The lagoon has been doing much better this past week and night crawlers are still working great. Some anglers are catching bigger largemouth still on swimbaits and bigger plastics.
The trout were still hanging out at the west ramp over the weekend but with the violent winds over the past few days most of them may be gone.
