Lake Skinner has been cold and rainy. The temperatures have been in the 60's and the winds caused some murkey waters. Rainbow Trout have been on the move and somewhat elusive, but when caught they bite on bright colored PowerBait. Largemouth Bass are starting to bed up and anglers fishing them in the shallows have been using purple rooster tails and PowerBait 4" worms in watermelon. Stripers have been biting on anchovies and swimbaits in spoons, poppers and rapalas over at the inlet area.

4-9-2012It was a great spring break this week at Lake Skinner. Old and new anglers enjoyed the sun and 70 degree weather. Between launch ramp 1 and 2 anglers had luck catching trout on corn, garlic, chartreuse and orange power bait.
