The Pacific Voyager on the third day of a three day trip reported in with 50 plus Yellowtail and still fishing. They are fishing the Coronado Islands area. The 3/4 day boat San Diego is in on the action also.

An Awesome Day of Yellowtail Fishing

The San Diego had an awesome three quarter day today, catching 28 yellowtail and 21 rock fish. Other boats in our fleet got into the action too. The Endeavor caught 15 yellowtail, the Legend caught 5 yellowtail and the Pacific Voyager ended up with 8 yellowtail. The San Diego departs daily at 5:30am. 5/19/12 1:10pm - The San Diego just called in from their 3/4 Day Trip. Captain Ryan reported 15 yellowtail on the boat, and then had to rush back to the deck to help out as they started biting again. The Legend has put 5 yellowtail on the boat, and have had plenty of shots at the fish.
