Everyone on the hunt for exotics today. The channel islands are showing prime conditions for an outstanding summer bite. White seabass and yellowtail on our local boats, with even the outer island boat putting in time on the local grounds before loading up on lingcod and red snapper at the outer islands.
Pacific Eagle made a big move this morning after waiting through a stalled bite in one location. They ended up with a nice count with white seabass (pictured here) and halibut. Pacific Dawn made the bold move today to fish local for the morning, but after non-bite morning, they made the big move to load up on lingcod and rockfish for all the anglers. Island Spirit had a big load of 39 anglers and had some fun early with white seabass and one nice yellowtail before dropping the download of rockfish for everyone.
We have trips on the hunt again tomorrow for exotics.. hopes are high and everyone is really excitied about whats going on here in Ventura and the norther channel islands. Tight lines!
