Today we had our second seminar of the trip; the BIG TUNA seminar. Several outfits were covered including flyline, chunk, yo yo, and kite rigs. As you know, there are endless ways to rig your tackle successfully. These are only recommendations from the crew and what we as a boat have had success with on previous trip. Tackle and technology are constantly changing and you need to be on the cutting edge or you will find yourself left behind. We are here to help. The rest of the day was used to just hang out and relax with the sunny skies, flat calm seas, and maybe an adult beverage or two. Life is good here on the Big X.

Yearly maintenance was wrapped up on Monday and the boat looks great. We loaded groceries, fueled up, and departed on our first trip last night. Accurate Reels 16 day trip with Jack Nilsen as charter master. The bait looks excellent and the weather is flat calm. The passengers and crew are just happy to be going fishing. We will start reporting daily again and we appreciate everyone checking in. Wish us luck....... Read More
