The catching campaign continued south in search of fish today. We looked hard in windy conditions and found a few paddies holding a mixed grade of Yellowtail. Melissa Rayner managed to wrestle a nice 25 lb. yellowtail to the gaff. Today was a good tune up for the action we hope will follow in the next couple days. Once again chef Chris dazzled us with another fantastic meal.

We Departed today on Capt. Cloyes ninth annual catching campaign with a limited load of excited anglers. After getting settled in and under way we were treated to a spectacular acrobatic display by a big pod of porpoise. We awoke this morning to fairly windy conditions but a great french toast breakfast. As we continued to south we searched along the way for signs of life. Phil Lisi led the way once again getting us going early with a very nice yellow tail off a kelp paddy.
