The fishing for Albacore was great for the anglers who went just beyond the weather buoy. The best numbers were 36'40/122'30 and 36'30/122'30. The fish were boiling on the live bait, Fish Traps. and Mega Baits on the Slide. The scores ranged from 8-18 fish a boat and some boats were in the Harbor at 2:00 with 16 fish. The live bait will be open around 4:00 in the morning. The inshore action was good near Capitola near the kelp beds. I spoke to a angler who caught multiple Seabass casting a Fish Traps in the kelp. I have the hot color in stock. The Salmon bite was tuff due to Mackerel that moved in. The Rockcod is still going good of Natural Bridges.

7-16-2007The fishing on the inshore was good for the anglers who fished the inshore. The Halibut was decent near the Lighthouse to Capitola in 45-60 feet of water. The Salmon were caught near Capitola in 80-100 feet of water down 40-70 feet. The Salmon are running from 8-22 pounds and are being caught on the troll and the mooch.
