Largemouth Bass and Catfish were on the feed at Lake Castaic

The Largemouth at Castaic Lake were on the bite on both the upper & lower lakes. Hot spots were Firebreak, Pete's Point and S.S. Ski. The bait of choice proved to be nightcrawlers and roboworms.

The catfish bite is doing well with most of the action coming at Elizabeth Canyon and Utopia. Mackerel is the bait of choice for the Kitties. Finally at lot of Bluegill have been caught at the lower lake on mealworms. Late afternoon was the best time to fish for the Bluegill between 6:30 & 8:00 PM.

Fishermen had a great time fishing for Largemouth at both the upper & lower lakes for Castaic Lake. Hot spots were Firebreak, Pete's Point and S.S. Ski Arm. There is a good Largemouth bite going on at Castic Lake. Top water lures are doing the trick. There are lota of little Bass around. Catfishing is good in either shady areas or muddy areas. The Stripers being caught are small, 10 to 14" but they are biting on top water lures. There have been no boils as of yet....... Read More
