Bass & Catfish are on the feed at Santee Lakes

BASS: Logen Siminoff, pictured age 11 of Santee caught an 8lb Bass on a plastic worm out of Lake 5.
CATFISH: Last Thursday was night fishing which had a good angler turn out. Ryan Lewis caught a total of 3 catfish out of Lake 3 using night crawlers for bait. Catfish were being caught out of lakes 2, 3 and 4.
The next Night fishing date will be held Thursday July 25th. Night fishing permits are sold starting at 4:30pm and are good to fish up to 11:30pm. Remember lanterns required.
Night Fishing (registered campers only, lakes 6&7)
** No California State Fishing License required to fish at Padre Dam's Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve.
Fishing Permit Fees
Adult (ages 16 and over) $9.00 per day
Junior (ages 7 to 15) $6.00 per day
Second fishing pole stamp $4.00
*One child under 7 may fish for free with a paid adult
