The Albacore are still being caught near 36'44/122'17 to 36'42/122'20. There were only a few boast who fished out in the wind but they did get some fish. The best score I heard was 8 fish and a few others lost. The water was choppy but the boats did make it to the grounds. It looks like we will have a window of 10-20 knots on Thursday. There are a few Salmon being caught in the Soquel Hole down 120 feet. There are Mackerel out there so you have to get below them. The Halibut was decent with a few good scores coming from the Lighthouse and in Capitola. The Rockcod fishing was good but the wind made it hard in the afternoon.

7-23-2007The fishing for Albacore was decent for the few anglers who went into the wind. The water was fishable but the wind was blowing all day. There were scores of 5-10 fish caught at 36'41/122'15 to 36'44/122'19. The inside water was nice all day near the Harbor. The wind was blowing near Ano Nuevo.
