The Stripers & Largemouth bites have been the best at Castaic Lake while the Catfish are coming on

The Striper bite is still doing great by the buoy line, Neck Tie Canyon and Kong Island. The most productive bait has been nightcrawlers fished at about 50'.

Largemouth are also doing well for fishermen using crank baits at the shoreline. Finally the catfish bite is also coming on for those using the stinky bait.

The Striper bite continues to be in full force at Castaic Lake. Anglers are doing best with Sardines and Anchovies. The best spots of fish for the Stripers are the Buoy line and by Kong Island. Largemouth are also on the bite. Best locations for the Largies are Sharon's Rest and old SS. The Bass are biting either plastics or nightcrawlers. The morning Striper boils are hot by Lake Castaic Buoy Line

This week was not a slow one by any standard at Castaic Lake. Striper boils are getting more and more frequent. Flukes, spooks and cut baits are the hot baits to use. The buoy line is the place to be between 5:45 & 8:00 AM for the morning bite. The Largemouth have been biting on nightcrawlers and roboworms.
