GOOD AFTERNOON FISHERMAN!!! First we would like to announce that the Island Spirit is returning to it's regular schedule on Thursday morning with a twist. Daily 6:00AM departures, 3/4 day freelance trips, but now limited to half capacity! This will improve the chance to catching more fish, less tangles and simply a better overall experience for our anglers.
Now the fishing update.. White seabass, halibut and even yellowtail still being caught. The local islands (Anacapa and Santa Cruz) have had some good fishing lately. Rockfish is always on the menu, but we are still putting in good time during the early morning for gamefish.
Fishing Wednesday.. we have both boats going out.. Pacific Eagle departs at 4:00AM and Island Spirit departs at 5:00AM.

Halibut counts on the rise! Pacific Dawn came back with 16 halibut up to 50lbs for only 14 anglers. They also had 6 white seabass and almost limits of rockfish for there anglers. Local island fishing still hanging tough. We are coming off the full moon, so the seabass and yellowstail bite has slown down for now. Good time to load up on tasty rockfish and lingcod!
