We received a call from Justin Fleck as the Excel left on their 3 Day Seeker Rods trip. "We saw some interesting water down around 100 to 120 miles from San Diego. Not all that productive though we did see lots of Bluefin around, they just weren't biting. We ended up with about 30 Bluefin and 40 miscellaneous Yellowtail off of kelps. The fish ranged in size from the little guys to the bigger guys and a couple of Dorado in the mix as well. We'll be up a little higher in the local zone. The local guys had better Bluefin fishing than we did down low."

After another day of good Yellowtail fishing, the Excel likes what they see offshore

Justin Fleck called in from the Excel with this report, "We had another good day of Yellowtail fishing yesterday. Pick'n at them 1, 2, 3 at a time. A good grade today, a better grade than yesterday. A lot of the fish are 20 to 25 lbs., a few in the upper 30's or lower 40's. There is a good sign of Yellowtail around the islands. We're happy to see that for upcoming trips.
