Just in this morning with another tremendous catch Sea Adventure 80 score big!
August 13th at 177 miles from Pt. Loma
Sonar on Full Alert!,
7:am Pacific Time
General Alert! Sonar Screen Fills with Full Screen Filler of Tuna!
This is Huge!
Captain Scott McDaniels orders heavy chum line on the PA System!
Several scoops of big sardines are brailed into the water by the deck crew.
All of a sudden the ocean is boiling with big Bluefin Tuna.
This is a monster school McDaniels yells on the PA. Boys we have a good one! Get out the heavy gear and Get Her Done!
Seconds later the first 10 baits that hit the water are instantly inhaled by the waiting tuna! It massive, everyone in the water is bent over like an umbrella!
Within one minute the entire group is under siege by a big Bluefin Tuna. Guys are being drug all over the boat. With the great skills of the deck hands and quick reactions of the anglers most of the tangles are walked right through. It was liquid excitement and fluid movement. Scoops of sardines flying over the rail, anglers yelling hook up all day long!
