This morning we had the "EL DORADO" return with 31 anglers catching 31 Yellowtail, 38 Bluefin Tuna and 3 Dorado.
We are seeing fish from 40-100+lbs. WE ADVISE, at least one rig with 50-60lb line, assorted 2/0, 3/0 and 4/0 hooks and minimum of 40lb Fluorocarbon. 2 speed reels can be the difference between losing and landing one of these giants. DO NOT bother with anything lighter than 30lb line.
The MISSION BELLE had a fantastic week of Yellowtail fishing at the Coronado Islands. Fish were mostly 15-30lbs and were taken on surface irons, fly-lined sardines and there was even opportunity for the yo-yo jig guys. They also had some good bottom fishing to round things out.
DAILY DOUBLE goes back to Winter Schedule after this weekend. Trips will be 1 a day from 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. They have been targeting Bass, rockfish and assorted bottom dwellers.
*ADVICE & FAQ's*
If your trip is under 3 days in length, PASSPORTS are not required.
If your trip fishes in MEXICO, PHOTO I.D. Required for all passengers, of all ages.
If your trip is OVERNIGHT OR LONGER, be ready for those big Bluefin Tuna as we have seen multiple 100+lbers in 1 to 1.5 day range on multiple boats this year.
NO COOLERS or ICE CHEST of any kind or size, NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL and NO GLASS BOTTLES on any Vessel in our Fleet.
Trips are Filling up fast, especially on the weekends, so book now. DO NOT WAIT TO SEE THE FISH COUNTS to book a trip. Lately, people wait, the counts come in and the trips sell out before you have a chance to reserve a spot.
