This week the fishing has really picked up. The water temperature is 49 degrees, and the water level of the lake is still low. Trolling, drifting, and cast and retrieve seems to be the ticket for Trout. They are hitting Silver Kastmasters, Micetails, and bright colored Powerbait. People have also caught there limit of Trout, using worm/egg combos and live worms. Best place to fish for Trout is on the East Beach and along the lower Narrows. catfish, Stripers, and the Bass bite is not very good right now. Best bait for Catfish would be anchovies or mackerel in brush areas or down trees. Best bait for Stripers would be using Swimbaits along the center island of the Lower Narrows. Best bait for Large or Smallmouth Bass would be Bass jigs in Swallow Bay coves or along the Narrows.

Fishing has been consistent from the last two weeks to this week. Fishing for Stripers, Catfish, and Bass still very slow. Bait fishing and Swimbaits are your best bet for Stripers such as anchovies and night crawlers. Fishing for Bass at this time of the year try bait fish like lures and jigging Craw the slowest most natural presentation works best. Marina Hours: 6:00 am to 8:00 pm Park Hours: 6:00 am to 9:00 pm. Water Temperature: 56 Degrees, at the dock. Water Level: No mention was made about the water level this week.
