Today we fished for the longfin tuna (albacore).
When the sun hit the water we got started with
trolling, glassing and more trolling. Our first
stop put a few on the boat but not many. It ended
up a pretty tough day, altough we did manage some
fish. 15 year old Spencer Merli got his first
albacore, and with a little proding from his dad
continued the tradition of chewing (and swallowing the heart!)
Then a great steak dinner was enjoyed by all.
We will be headed south tommorow so until then,
Q105 crew out.

Today we restarted our YT capturing efforts. The morning was a steady pick on that premium grade YT but as the day progressed the bite slowed down. We continued our slow pick throughout the rest of the day on big YT. The weather is great nie and warm. We are enjoying good food and even better company.
