The San Diego is returning from a three quarter day trip with 196 yellowfin tuna and 4 skipjack. The Sea Watch on a three quarter day charter returned with 99 yellowfin tuna and 2 skipjack. The Yellowfin are 15-25lbs with fish up to 40lbs.

The captains recommend bringing 25-30lb test with a top shot of fluorocarbon and an assortment of different size hooks for fishing anchovies or sardines. Some boats are fishing California waters, so if you have a California fishing license make sure to bring it with you.

There is no end in sight for this offshore season. The Tribute pulled in this morning from a day and a half trip with 105 yellowfin tuna (limits) and 2 yellowtail. The Aztec has called in from a one day trip with 120 yellowfin tuna (limits) a dorado. The San Diego on a three quarter day trip has called in with 162 yellowfin tuna and 2 skipjack.
