Well, another truly exhausting day here aboard the Qualifier 105. We spent the day looking for Tuna, in what seems to be the dead (and I do mean dead) Eastern Pacific. We found what seemed like good life, but it never turned into anything for us. If it weren't for the couple of kelps and open water strikes we had on Dorado, we wouldn't have put a tag on a fish all day. We looked so hard today that even the Captain went up in the mast in search of fish. Our's is not the finest I have ever seen, but it is still plenty workable. With fishing the way it is down south, we are going to start making tracks to the north. Tomorrow we hope to have better looking weather, as we are going to start offshore and work our way towards the beach in search of biting fish. Q-105 crew signing out. Choppy, white ocean is what we had to contend with in our search for the elusive Yellowfin Tuna. Today we spent going the extra mile and we came up a little on the short side, but not as short as some. Let me tell you, if I thought there was a morning that we were going to get a hit, this morning was it, but, not to our lack of effort, our opportunity just never came. Our weather started today, a little on the sloppy side, got better, and then the wind picked up as the day went on.
