Greetings from Lake Cuyamaca: !!YES!! another 1,200lbs of Mt.?? Lassen trout will be stocked in the lake this week!! With the near perfect water conditions the trout have shown a vigorous appetite. Number of anglers down last week due to weather. With bait dunkers doing better last week, than the hardware chuckers due to windy conditions. Anglers are experiencing limit style action from the shore line all around the lake. The success for boaters remains steady with bait, also trolling spinners and??Rapalas. ??????

Trout Bait:24-30 inch leader off the bottom inflated night crawler smeared with scent, Power Bait,??and Power Worms.?? (Pautzkes Krill gel or liquid Krill scent)
Best Trout Lures: Gold Panther Martins, Yellow Rooster Tails, Orange Rapala. Use scent!?? (Krill gel works best)??
Best Trout Spots: Lone Pine, Shore line Chambers Park, Dike, Finger Jetty's
Notable:?? Chad Dressler, Beloit WI,9lbs 5oz Channel Catfish, bait, secret spot. Pam Gray, San Diego, 3lbs Rainbow, Power Bait, Secret Spot. Flea< Descanso, 2lbs 4oz Rainbow, Tee Dock. (Lots of limits.)
Fly Fishing:?? With the cooling water temps Matukas and Wooly Buggers would be a good choice?? This should produce some fine trout.??
Nature Walk: The guided walk will be conducted by Clint Powell November 4th at 1 P.M. .The trail is open for daily use. 3 1/2 miles around the lake.
Free Fishing Class Saturday at 10:AM:?? Ranger Charlie will teach tried and true trout tactics, also cover Crappie and Catfish using tube jigs and bait.
Prognosis:!! ??With another 1,200 lbs of trout added this week and cool water temps, the trout action will continue producing limits. Using bait for a quick limit, or hardware for the bigger trout. This is the Fall trout action we always anticipate. You don't want to miss out on this fun angling experience. Bring the family!! The Fall season leaves are appearing on the trees and plants, come up and see some of natures outstanding color arrangements. Please fell free to ask our staff any questions you may have.
