Today we steadily made our way north toward SD. We planned to stop and fish cod, which we did with limited success due to the windy conditions. After a few drifts we had managed to scratch up a few lings and an assortment of other flavors. As we continue north the weather is getting better all the time. For dinner we were treated to a turkey dinner with all the fixings. We had a great time and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. This is a great charter put on by Boss Hoag and Gary Vander Lyke (aka Cowboy) and a big thanks goes out to them for making this trip possible.

Today we did some inshore style fishing. The bite wasn't red hot but we did manage to scratch up a few halibut and a couple quality Yellowtail. All in all it was a very relaxing day spent in calm waters and beautiful weather. We are hoping that trend continues as we head up the line for SD. This morning we woke up to a slow pick on scattered YT. After a couple moves and adjustments we got into the YT really really good. It was a refreshing change after back-to-back days of scratchy fishing. The 12-15 lb yellows rained onto the boat in red hot flurries of action.
