Capt Steve checked in from the Commander as they are headed home from Cortez Banks after a very nice day on the water, although the wind has started to come up but still nice weather. We ended the trip with 55 nice grade Yellowtail from 10 to 15 lbs, also we missed on the Bluefin Tuna today as did the 3 other boats that were out here with us. Later in the day we headed into the shallows for some rockfishing and ended with just over 100 Rockfish, 37 Sheephead and 32 Whitefish and also a few Lingcod and Sculpin. We do have a trip leaving tomorrow night on a 1.5 day trip that is a few folks shy of going, so if you want to get in on a light load trip to Cortez banks and get some Yellowtail go to the website and get signed up. Go to www.longbeachsportfishing.com and reserve your spots, we will continue to look for the Bluefin Tuna. We have an overnight trip on leaving Tuesday night fishing San Clemente Island, as of right now this is also a light load. Hope to see you out here soon.
