Good morning folks. After leaving Cabo and heading up we are looking forward to a nice ride home with good weather. The two boats that were at the big fish grounds yesterday sounded like they had great fishing and we are looking forward to getting back down there on a 16 day trip coming up after Thanksgiving.
I thought I would pass along some of the outfits that seemed to work best on this beach fish. Any 50 size reel with 200 pound hollow spectra. With a top shot of 135 or unlimited. You can also leave the top shot off and we will put it on , on the boat. The hooks for fishing with the mackerel were the 7/0 super mutu ringed, and for the sardine a 5/0 super mutu ringed.
Kite rigs were made up to fly out a sardine or Mackerel.?? Balloon rigs were a 24 incher simply tied directly to the line and sent out. Don't bother with less than 135 lb. It is not worth the chance of losing a cow.
We hope to see you on the next trip with possibly 11 days on the big fish grounds that gives a lot of chances for that 300 pounder you have all been dreaming of.
Give us a call in the office it leaves the day after Thanksgiving.
