Texas Fish Report

It's official, we have a new "Western Outdoor News Rockfish Rumble" champion for 2015 and his name is Luther Terrell! Today's competition was fierce with the Island Spirit, Amigo, Pacific Eagle and Pacific Dawn all going head to head with each other, all trying to bring in the biggest denizen of the deep! 

The day started off full speed with everyone getting down to business, signing in and straight to the boats, and away they went. The fishing was fast and furious with all 4 boats posting some outstanding catches, with either limits or near limits of rockfish. 

When the dust settled, 1 boat stood out amongst the rest, the AMIGO, Captained by Bill Cavanaugh. Ultimately the anglers on the AMIGO ended taking the top prizes, with 4 lingcod weighing in between 10.8 and 17.74 lbs. These were some mean fish that didn't go down without a fight!

The guys over at Western Outdoor News provided some awesome prizes and almost everybody got something!
