The water temperature is between 76 degrees. Catfish: High Action-Catfish is very hot right now. Any cove... 5-10 feet with cut baits. Remember keep it simple this is an easy catch, chicken liver, mackerel, and anchovies . .. Blue Gills: Medium Action- still going strong, mostly across from marina or East Bay. Hitting on night crawlers, meal worms, red worms, and crickets. Small amounts of bait to cover a #6 or # 10 hook, light line small or clear bobbers. Striper: Slow Action- This species crave cooler water, Striper’s will be over by Inlet or middle of lake. Chicken liver, fresh sardines and anchoives.. 10-20 ft. level with umbrella rig and Alabama rigs. Large Mouth: Slow Action- hot temperatures so best bite early morning or late afternoon. Working in any cover or shadows slowly with long cast not to spook them. Your best bet small spinners, crank baits, flukes and swim baits. Try plastic creature baits, crawdads, top plastic frog action fun. Later on go back and throw your favorite 10 inch roboworm. Trout: No Action. Carp: Plenty... They spook easy, so use blood worms or night crawlers

Striper: Slow Action: Deep out by the inlet in the middle of the buoy line by the dam. Hitting on chicken lives, anchovies and shad, that we carry at the store. Blue Gill: Medium action: Red worms, wax worms night crawlers and plastic worms any small worm with jigs. .. in coves and reeds. The water temperature is between 70-72 degrees. Catfish: High Action Cats are an excellent catch right now with the warmer weather and the recent stocking of the Catfish near launch ramp 2. They are hitting on chicken livers, night crawlers, mackerel and anchovies. Blue Gill: Slow Action- caught this week on white and yellow jigs, wax worms and of course live crickets that we sell at the marina store.
