Captain Tino Valentine called in this evening with an update from the Freedom out of 22nd Street Landing in San Pedro, CA. We had 57 Yellowtail today. 30 of them gaff-able. The others were bouncers we shook a bunch of them and some keep a few. We also had 23 Bonito, 23 Calico Bass, 7 Sheephead, 21 Whitefish and 2 Sculpin.

We had a great day of fishing and beautiful weather. We do have plenty of room on tonight’s trip.

Freedom Declared War On The Yellowtail Today

Capt Tino checked in from the Freedom and has decided to name today as strictly Warfare and we are covered from head to toe in blood. We did not stop pulling on Yellowtail and Bonito for 7 hours straight. We ended with 155 Yellowtail and 135 Bonito, we probably had around 250 hook ups and lost some and lost around 25 to the sealions, so they got their share. Freedom Update

Capt Tino checked in from the Freedom as they are returning home from their overnight trip, we had very good fishing today and they weather was perfect. We ended the trip with 41 Yellowtail from 25 to 30 lbs, but we did have a couple smaller ones and 15 Bonito. We also had 22 Olive ROckfish, 25 Copper Rockfish, 21 Red Snapper, 18 Bocaccio and 119 assorted other Rockfish to top off everyones bags. We did change...... Read More
