Capt Justin checked in from the Excel as they are headed south on their 8 day Tuna Wars trips, we tried to start off catching the Yellowtail we had been catching the last few trips. But the body of fish we were getting and apparently the have moved on, so we headed even further south and some nice waters around 79 degrees and we have had pretty good Wahoo fishing so far and have around 60 for our efforts. We also have some Pargo, Groupers, Tuna and Yellowtail mixed in for the day, we will check back in again tomorrow.

Excel Headed Home After A Great Trip

Capt Justin checked in from the Excel as they are out on an 8 day Ballast Point trip, our internet has been down for a couple days and we were unable to call in the daily reports. Our group has had a great trip, we started out with wide open Yellowtail fishing from 15 to 25 lbs and everyone got their fill of them. Homeward bound

Hello anglers, After a long day of fishing offshore yesterday we decided to try a new area. It worked out very well as we fished along the coast for yellowtail. The fly lined bait with a half ounce slider was the ticket. The surface iron was also hot. We will be traveling up the coast tonight and be at Fishermans Landing tomorrow morning 0700.
