The water temperature has cooled, afternoons have been cold & windy. This week it was on the slower side for many Anglers but there was still a few to be had. The fish seem to be going deeper, mostly caught in the middle of the lake, near the damn and Inlet. Next Trout plant is December 28,2016.
Striper. The Striper have been doing great due to the fact of Trout stocking over by the South Shore and Handicap Fishing area.. Try using anchovies and small swimbaits. These beauties have also been over near launch ramp 2 but now are spreading all over the lake.
Lar‹je Mouth: Large Mouth have slowed down. There are still smaller largemouth being caught throughout the lake. The colder nights are making them go deeper. They have been biting on pretty much anything.
Trout: Last stock of Trout was December 14a, 2016, 600lbs, which is great for the lake. Trout has been picking up. Rooster Tails have been working best!. Power Bait and salmon eggs are also a great way to catch Trout.
Blue Gill: Slow action on the Blue Gills this past week, more towards the inlet and middle of the lake. Try using chicken livers, red worms, and Nightcrawlers.
Catfish: Catfish have moved deep around the buoy line and the inlet. Chicken livers and garlic shrimp have been working best! Catfish have also been seen over by Launch ramp 2.
Corp: There are still tons of carp in the lake. Plenty & fun to catch! !
