The water temperature is 56-58 degrees, water level is dramatically up from the rain making the fish go deep throughout the lake, mostly being caught in the middle of the lake and over by the buoy line this past week. Last Trout plant was February the 22nd 2017.
Striper: Medium action for Striper! Try using cut baits, shad, swimbaits, spooks and top water lures. The rain has caused the fish to go deep, the middle of the lake has been the spot to hit! Also some Anglers have had some great luck with these beauties over by Launch Ramp 2.
Large Mouth: Medium to slow action for Large Mouth! Anglers catching Bass over to the right of the Marina towards the East end, also East of Ramp 2 on top water lures and large swim baits. Also try using night crawlers, purple and green robo worm and meal worms. They should pick back up after the cold rainy days.
7rozzt: Medium action for Trout. Next Stock of Trout will be on March 8th, 2017, 600lbs! Launch Ramp 2 have been producing decent sizes. Best way to catch Trout using Power bait, Salmon or Rainbow color is still the best way to go! You can find Power bait at the local Skinner Camp Store. Also try using good Ole night crawlers!
Blue Gill: Slow action on the Blue Gills but some are still being caught on meal worms, crickets and night crawlers over by Launch Ramp 2.
Catfish: Slow action on Catfish. Catfish have been mostly seen in the middle of the lake and around the buoy line.. Chicken livers and anchovies have been working best!
