Fishing at Castaic is good right now. Stripers and bass have been boiling in the mornings for the first couple hours. The bluegil bite has been very good. Waxworms and meal worms are working best but small plastics and lures have been working good also. We are done with trout plants for the year. Catfish have been slow.

Fishing at Castaic is very good. Bass and stripers are chasing shad all over the lake. Coves have been the best. Most guys are using shad pattern lures to catch stripers and bass. Fishing is good at Castaic.Stripers are biting shad pattern lures and swimbaits.Trolling has been working good.Most the stripers are in the 4 to 8Ib range.The largemouth and small mouth bass are still biting good.Roboworms and Senkos working good_Also shad pattern lures are working good for bass.The shad are showing up in coves along the shore in the bushes.
