The water temperature is 75 degrees. Striper: Med. Action: Striper doing over by the inlet and middle of lake about 40 feet. They are hitting on sardines and chicken livers. Blue Gill: Slow Action: Have not heard much this week of Blue Gills. Usually they can be caught around the Marina and north shore. The bait of choice would be red worm, meal worms and of course wax worms. Catfish: High Action: Catfish are being caught over in the coves and points, a few Anglers have caught some nice sizes ones over by the dam and inlet area. They are still hitting on mackerels, garlic shrimp and chicken livers. Large Mouth: Medium Action: The Largemouth Bass are over on the north shore lurking in the reeds. Try catching them on purple and green robo worms, meal worms, wax worms and night crawlers. Trout: No Action.. Carp: Huge and plenty.... Stop by the camp store or marina and share your fishing stories with us and get a picture taken so we can post it on FB. Stocking of Catfish will be on 8/04/2017.
Catch and release is a great thing to practice to insure the species a healthy abundant environment to keep on producing for many more years of fun here.
