The water temperature is 76-78 degrees. It has been very hot so make sure to bring lots of sunscreen! Stop by the Camp Store for a cool refreshment! Last Stock of Catfish was September lst, 2017. Striper: Slow Action: Striper have slowed down some due to the heat and are deep but doing well over by the inlet area and the middle of the lake. Trolling with umbrella rigs, and night crawlers. Blue Gill: Slow Action: Blue Gills have been hitting on live crickets, night crawlers, meal worms and wax worms, over in the east bay area. Catfish: Medium to High Action: Cats have been hitting on chicken livers, anchovies, and mackerel. The normal size right now is 8-12 pounders. Carp: Plenty of carp hitting on most baits. Large Mouth Bass: Medium Action: Off most of your points outside of the reeds hitting on roboworms, sinkos, and frogs. Bite will get better as the water cools.

Free Fishing Day in the State of California September 2nd, 2017. Park Permit still required. The water temperature is 76-77 degrees. Striper: Slow Action: Stripers have slowed down this past week due to the heat. A few anglers have still caught a few over by the dam, using mackerels and shad. The water temperature is 74 degrees. Last stock of Catfish was Friday, August 18', 2017. Striper: Medium Action: Anglers have caught Stripers over at the Dam where the inlet is flowing, right by the buoys, hitting on cut or whole mackerels, anchovies, shad and plastics. Blue Gill: Slow Action: The bait of choice would be red worm, meal worms and of course wax worms.
