Newport Landing Sportfishing Sand Bass & Barracuda Move In

A new wave of sand bass have moved in just outside our harbor (between Newport Pier and Huntington Beach) along with barracuda. There are now two large areas of sand bass and barracuda. The captains are also reporting seeing yellowtail as well in these areas. Fishing both on the ?? days and ?? days this week should be great with water temps in the 70's. Anchovies for bait.
The Amigo has an open party overnight trip fishing Tuesday (July 29). Departs Monday night (July 28) at 9pm. Limited to 18 anglers at $170. Currently 8 spots open as of 2 pm Sunday (July 27). Capt Mike Thompson said he will be running this trip and this should be a great trip.
The Ultra has an open party overnight trip leaving tonight at 9 pm. Limited to 9 anglers at $240. The Ultra last overnight trip had 45 yellowtail for only 9 anglers. Capt Brian is eager to get back out there. Currently 4 spots open.
