The Ultra is coming in early today after catching 45 yellowtail from 15-30 pounds, 2 white sea bass, and 2 halibut for only 9 anglers! They left last night (Thursday July 24). Outstanding yellowtail fishing!
Captain Mike Thompson on the Amigo called in at 7:30 am this morning with 10 yellowtail from 20 to 30 pounds and 1 white sea bass with most of the day left for fishing. The Amigo is on an overnight private charter fishing today (Friday July 25). Check our fish count at www.newportlanding.com/fishcount.htm later today for the Amigo's final count.
Also the Patriot is having excellent sand bass fishing and getting some barracuda as it sounds like a new wave of sand bass have moved in. Very good fishing going on the Patriot right now on their open party ?? day trip today. Check out our fish count for a final count.
Water temps are 70 degrees and we've been having anchovies for bait. We have open party twilight trips for tonight and Saturday (July 26). The Nautilus is running open party ?? day trip on Sunday and it still has lots of spots available.
The Ultra has an open party overnight trip leaving this Sunday night at 9 pm fishing Monday (July 28). Limited to 9 anglers at $240. Should be a great trip. This trip just opened up!

7-24-2008For Newport Landing Sportfishing's Schedule for this week/weekend (July 24-July 29). The Aggressor has a private charter overnight trip fishing Sunday (July 27).
