The Trout opener proved to be a great success. Anglers have been reporting the best results from Spinner Baits and Marshmallow/ Nightcrawler set- ups. The Striped Bass are waking up with the Trout introductions, Catfish, Bass and Bluegill still on the chew with boating anglers providing most reports.

These are the following ratings.

Bass: Good with an Average size of 3 pounds.
Bluegill: Good with an Average size of 1 pound.
Carp: Fair with an Average size of 4 pounds.
Catfish: Good with an Average size of 3 pounds.
Striper: Excellent with an Average size of 3 pounds.
Trout: Excellent with an Average size of 2 pounds.

The first Trout plant of the season is Thursday, November 06, 2008. Catfish are still the major story this week, boating anglers are getting striper in the early morning hours on topwater.
