Close, affordable and a lot of fun, That's beautiful Lake Del Valle. The hardy anglers have been here all week rain or shine and have been rewarded with some nice catches. The trout are still at the top of the list running between 2 and 3 lbs. but we have also seen some in the 7 to 8 lbs. range. Powerbait,Powereggs,Nightcrawlers have been doing particularly well. Combining the Powereggs and Nightcrawler have brought in some nice limits. Come by the Marina and checkout the photos.

Bass: Fair
Bluegill: Poor
Carp: Poor
Catfish: Poor
Crappie: Poor
Striper: Fair
Trout: Excellent

Notable catches
Butch Steward 13lbs. stringer of 5 Trout the largest 7.11lbs. on Powerbait at the marina
Andrew Babcock of Livermore 2.5lbs. Bass on worm at Swallow Bay
Zack Gates of San Jose 11 lbs. stringer of 2 Trout largest 7lbs. on Rapala at Marina Buoya

The weather was up and down all week and so was the fishing. Anglers did well on Kastmasters, Rapalas, and Night crawlers. The water temperature on some days was 57 at the surface so the anglers had to keep trying different depths and different combinations but we did see some nice catches and a number of fishermen with there limits. Great action going on down here at Lake Perris. With the bass gaming remaining tense and consistent, our Crappie are hitting harder than ever. A reported 30 pounds string was produced right off of our dock using Crappies jigs; So if your a Crappies fisherman, just a small $3 dock fee ($2- senior/ children).
