Striped Bass: Fishing report similar to last week however, the striper bite has picked up. Cut bait, shad and nightcrawlers have been working best! Best bite is still early morning hours & later afternoon, throughout the lake.
Bluegill: High action for bluegill using meal worms or crickets in the reeds. Mini jigs tipped with meal/ crawlers, deeper waters or across from the marina. Also, use a small bb split hot and wait for the strike on the fall!
Catfish: Catfish is still very slow this past week. But still some to be had. The lake’s water level is rising, the current has slowed near the inlet allowing for better cat fishing. Use chicken liver, mackerel or anchovies for best results.
Largemouth Bass: Largemouth Bass has slowed a bit, however some anglers have reported a pretty decent bite throughout the lake using senko or roboworms for best results. Deeper waters by the boat is best although if you don’t mind a hike, you can still catch some over at the peak/
Trout: Last trout stock was January 16th, 2021.
