That means rainbow trout are being stocked from the Willow Beach Hatchery. The federal hatchery crew does a great job raising these trout and bringing them to the shores of the Colorado River here in Bullhead City.

The current stocking sites are Rotary Community Park and Davis Camp. Sometimes both spots get stocked, and sometimes just one — and the days can vary.

Local angler Nick Valenzuela stopped by to show off a limit of rainbow trout from the recent stocking at Rotary Park.

Just a reminder: the limit below Davis Dam is five trout and ten stripers, with no size limit on either species.

For some lake news — anglers are picking up stripers by trolling with a variety of lures, and bait fishing with anchovies has been producing as well. Keep an eye out for boils, as that’s a great opportunity to land a few fish. You may need to move with them since they tend to stop and start again in different areas.
