Texas Fish Report

Once again Largemouth Bass fishing tops the action at the lake this past week. Several reports from the shoreline is that fishing is very slow, and to be honest most of the main fishing is being done by boat right now at the lake. East End and South Shore remain a hot spot for the bass, however on the days where the wind will let you, several fishermen are reporting increasing numbers of bass coming in along the North Shore as well. Dark plastics and worms remain a top bait, however with the recent rains and the staining of the water clarity, some fishermen have reported doing well on brighter plastics as well. The smaller bass appear to be shallow while the larger bass are still holding in a little deeper water. Striper action improved this past week as well as the weather brought the linesides up from the depths. Chicken liver appears to remain the best bait for these fish and the Inlet/Dam area remains the best spot. Bluegills still coming in back in the coves along the South Shore as well as back in the East End and Ramp #2 Area. Some cats coming in, but nothing note worthy.
