The Department of Fish & Game stocked the upper lake at the west ramp with 900 lbs. of rainbow trout. Not too much has changed in the past few weeks, but the largie bite all over the lake has been great on nightcrawlers and plastics. Largies can be spotted in almost any cove but like it has been for weeks, the water clarity is still around 25 to 30 feet making it very difficult if you don't have light line. The fishing at the lagoon for the largies is still hanging in there despite the slight drop off earlier in the week. The largies are still biting nightcrawlers, plastics, crawdads and swimbaits all day long.
Also panfish are being reported at the lagoon. The striper fishing at the upper lake is still barely producing fish. Maybe a hand full of stripers a week are coming in and most are being caught by fluke. Most anglers who are targeting are coming up empty handed, no matter if you are fishing from shore or a boat or even if you are trolling. They are still over a hundred feet deep and don't seem to be biting bait.
