Largemouth Bass have moved to the shallows and Striper & Trout are fishing well at Lake Skinner

The weather at Lake Skinner has been in the high 60's and we ended the week with some rain and winds. The water level is up so the Largemouth Bass have been in the shallows. Anglers are using Jigs, plastic worms and swimbaits. Stripers have been biting on cut baits between launch ramp 1 and launch ramp 2. Trout fishing had been very good this week between both launch ramps. Anglers are using PowerBait in Chartreuse, corn, garlic and rainbow. Anglers are also using worms, jigs and power worms. The final stocking of Trout will be on March 23, 2012.

The weather was beautiful this week at Lake Skinner with temperatures in the high 70', low 80's. With the nice weather the Bass have been coming up to the shallows and biting on plastic worms and jigs. The average size has been around 4 lbs. The Bass have moved into the shallows and are hitting plastic worms and jigs at Lake Skinner

Bass are being caught on the North shoreline of the lake on Crawdads and Plastic worms in about 13' to 18' feet of water. The trout are still being caught around the shorelines of parking lots 11 & 12 on floating night crawlers and spring green PowerBait.
