Anglers are nailing boiling stripers during the early AM & late PM on top water baits at Castaic

Upper lake WATER TEMP: 74 Degrees
Lower Lagoon WATER TEMP: 75 Degrees
Stripers can still be found near the buoy line and Sharron's Rest on cut bait and night crawlers. The Largemouth are still biting all over the lake and typically between the surface to about 15 feet deep. They also love the night crawlers and top water baits. Hawks Nest and Dry Gulch were great coves all weekend long. Old SS had a mix of stripers, Largemouth and Catfish being caught out of it all on Night Crawlers. The Catfish are still biting on mackerel near Kong Island and back in Elizabeth Cyn. The Shad are being seen everywhere but are still too deep to net. The lagoon has still been great for the swimbait fishing and drop shotting. Anglers are still pulling out 7 to 10 pounder on almost an everyday basis.
