The water temperature is 59 degrees. Water level is down about 10 ft. Due to the water level down and the recent storm the lake was closed on Friday and Saturday, not much to report.


Striper: Low Action: Shad are moving deep and this week there has been less of a Striper bite.

Blue Gill: Low action. Blue Gill are starting to pick up, live crickets and red worms have been successful this last week.

Catfish: Low Action- Cats can be caught over in the coves using chicken livers, anchovies, night crawlers and also on Gulp bait (bloody-bloody, bloody shad guts, bloody chicken).

Large Mouth: Low Action: No beds or spawning seen yet, they are tight in the tullies.

Carp: Low action, big carp ready to catch, easy and fun. Use your favorite carp dough balls, along the banks or under heavy cover. Stop by the camp store or marina and share your fishing stories with us and get a picture taken so we can post it on FB.

The water temperature is 47-49 degrees. Striper: High Action Stripers still very active. Lures producing some good catches are Flicker shad lures in colors: firetiger, black sunset and shad colored. You can also use power baits, umbrella rigs, Sibiki rigs, and crank baits, plastic leadheads, flukes, scroungers and rattle lures over at the East end if on boat, top water to five feet down, or if on shore, at ramp 2 off any of the point.
