Charter boat operator Jim Smith of the Happy Hooker is now one of the only games in town, due to the closure below the Carquinez Bridge. Fishing has been good, last weekend Smith averaged a fish per person for 34 anglers on two trips. Big fish were in the mid- to upper-teens.
