Capt Nick checked in from the Freedom as they are headed back from their overnight trip, we had a pretty good trip and ended with 21 Bluefin Tuna and 2 Yellowfin Tuna and 1 Yellowtail. The ticket today was belly hooked sardines on a smal hook and 25 lb flourocarbon and light line. The birds were really bad today so the belly hooked sardine worked the best. The weather last night was kinda rolly on the way out and the winds were up a little in the morning, but the after was perfect. Capt Jeff on the Freedom checked in with a trip wrap up, we ended the day 7 Bluefin Tuna, was kinda tough like yesterday. We then went in and tried for Yellowtail and ended with 75 of them, and also managed 1 Dorado and 38 of the nicer grade Bonito. Freedom Gets 112 Yellowtail Today

Capt Jeff checked in from the Freedom to let us know that the fishing conditions for the Bluefin Tuna was pretty tough today. We managed to get 3 Bluefin this morning, we did not see many fish around with the changes in conditions. We decided to go and try and get some Yellowtail and that worked out pretty well for us, we ended the day with 112 Yellowtail and 15 nicer grade Bonito. Real good fishing all...... Read More
