The water temperature is 62-64 degrees. Cooler weather conditions allow fish to go deeper, where most likely they will remain for winter. Blue Gill: Medium Action: Nightcrawlers are working best, hitting near Launch Ramp 2. Catfish: Medium Action: cut bait, chicken liver, and shrimp. Go deeper waters or East End is working well. Striper: Medium Action: small amount of boils early morning. Still very active, even with the no stocking of trout, so use either umbrella rigs, shad, Sibiki rigs, and crank baits. Best bet keep trolling middle of lake, and north of ramp 2 with shad or plastic leadheads, and flukes. Large Mouth: Low Action: starting to see signs of early pre-spawn for Large Mouth Bass. Lots of small bass near shore. Trout: No Action/no trout plants. Carp: Low Action: Use your favorite carp dough balls, along the banks or under heavy cover. Stop by the camp store or marina and share your fishing stories with us and get a picture taken so we can post it on FB. You can also find us on Facebook.
