Big Carp were biting well this past week off of the dam on dough baits. The Carp have been biting throughout the day with no specific time being better than another. The Catfish bite has been mediocre with only a few bites. If targeting Catfish, try using cut Mackerel at a depth of 80 feet and below. The Main channel of the Fish Arm is the best chance to secure a bite. Try fishing this area between 11:00 am and 6:00 pm for best results. The crappie and bluegill bite continues to do well with lots of action coming out of Utopia and Elizabeth Canyon. Crappie jigs and Crappie nibbles have been working great for both species'. The Striper bite has been excellent with Anchovies and Sardine working wonders at depths of 40-60 feet. Hot spots include the buoy line and Necktie Canyon. The Bass bite has been great off the shoreline using plastic and real worms.
