Anglers are still catching trout as of late, but it has been getting a little tougher to get your list. Most catches are coming off powerbaits and kastmasters. Green, chartreuse, and garlic scent have been working best. The bass have picked up and are in the post-spawn stage. A lot of fish have been coming off deeper rocky points and backs of coves where you can find shad schooled up and being chased. Usually first thing in the morning and later in the evening has been the deal for that though. Some anglers have reported getting bit on topwater and reaction baits. The striper bit has slowed down a bit, with only a few per person being the usual catch. Sardines, anchovies and lug worms have been working best. The bite have been picking up some days and then slows down others. Catfish have been making more of an appearance with chicken liver, mackerel and anchovies being the bait of choice for most. The bluegill and crappie have picked up and people have been Abel to snag limits off pieces of nightcrawlers and wax/meal worms. Mainly up shallow near bushed and submerged foliage. The lower lake has been producing the best for crappie.
